The reflective film colors include: white, blue, green, yellow, red, brown, black, orange, fluorescent yellow-green, fluorescent orange, and at least ten other colors; special custom colors are excluded. Each color of reflective film has a fixed usage area in traffic signs and must also comply with the color system coordinates in national standard documents.
White reflective film: mainly used for the text content of traffic signs and prohibitive white background signs; for example: no drunk driving, no speeding, no entry, etc.;
Blue reflective film: used for municipal traffic sign backgrounds, national and provincial roads/county roads, etc.
Green reflective film: mainly used for highway traffic sign backgrounds in combination with white reflective film; in addition, green reflective film is also used as a background in areas such as highway entrances.
Yellow reflective film: mainly used in warning signs, such as caution signs for upcoming forks in the road.
Red reflective film: not used as a background film, generally paired with white background film as speed limit signs; commonly seen as a white background with a red reflective film circle and black reflective film for text indicating speed limits.
Brown reflective film: only used for tourist signs, with brown reflective film as the background and white reflective film for text content; it is also possible to choose to print brown directly using white reflective film.
Black reflective film: mainly used in combination with white for prohibitive traffic signs, and black reflective film does not have a reflective effect.
Orange reflective film: used for making temporary construction signs; national standard documents clearly state that the background film for temporary construction signs should be orange, with black for text content.
Fluorescent orange reflective film: used in the same scenarios as orange, also for temporary construction signs.
Fluorescent yellow-green reflective film: used for school area signs, commonly seen as: caution to slow down for schools ahead and school buses.
